About Alanah & Lexy
My name is Alanah and I am the founder of Leashed with Lexy!
I've been working in the canine industry for over five years, driven by a deep passion for animals. For three of those years, I managed a doggy daycare, where I gained invaluable experience before deciding to venture out on my own and offer the highest-quality services to my community. After much consideration, I made the leap to pursue my dream of becoming a full-time dog walker, dedicating myself to providing exceptional care for dogs and their owners.
My biggest inspiration for pursuing this career is my dog Lexy. She is a 10 year old Lab mix that I rescued when she was 8 weeks old. We are completely inseparable so it only made sense to name the business after her! Lexy and I love going on hikes together and taking road trips up north to swim at the cottage. Spending every day with her has truly been a dream come true.
Leashed with Lexy has been thriving and expanding consistently since it started. We have been in service for over two years now and it’s been an incredible journey. I’m so grateful to have this opportunity to be doing my dream job every day, and to be able to meet so many amazing dogs and people along the way.
We are SO thrilled we hired Alanah to walk our dog on days my partner and I are at work. She is so responsive, easy going, professional and trustworthy and it has been so lovely working with her. Alanah’s passion shines through and you can tell she cares about each and every one of the dogs. We always love seeing the group pics!

Alanah takes our pup 2-3 times per week for daycare and it’s been amazing! She gets to socialize with other dogs and gets the physical activity she needs (she’s a high energy golden retriever). Alanah shares updates and pictures of our pup, which is my fav part of my workday. Lastly, Alanah is SO great with our pup and our pup LOVES her daycare days! It’s certainly worth the money! Would HIGHLY recommend.

We always know our girl is in good hands with Alanah! We have her walk Phoebe 2-3 times a week, and she is always professional and punctual. Phoebe loves her walks with all her friends and always comes home tired and happy! Alanah goes above and beyond for us regularly, and for that we are so grateful!
